    This is a wonderful drug for the treatment of anxiety, however, it is meant for short term use (2-3) weeks. The doctors tell you that, they do not, however, tell you what can happen if you take for a long period of time. I have been taking Lorazepam for 6 years, 1 mg/twice a day. Prior to that I was on Xanax for 10 years.I have now become tolerant and am having withdrawal symptoms. I have done qui ... Show Full Comment

    I was prescribed this medication for severe anxiety attacks. I was also told if I felt like hurting myself to take 2 and it will knock me out. Unfortunately after I took one, during one of my anxiety attacks while driving home from work, I got extremely drowsy and luckily was able to make it home safe but I was scared to do that again.
