I have had no problems whatsoever. I've never been one to have problems with BC pills anyway. All this talk about mood swings and decreased sex drive...blah blah blah I don't believe BC has anything to do with that. The only problem (and not even a problem) I've missed my period or it is very light to non existant! And that to me is a blessing. I've always taken BC's that have stopped or lightened...

I recently switched from Sprintec to Previfem because of the recall and I cannot express how much I dislike Previfem. Not only did it make it bloated, it caused major weight gain. It increased my appetite and decreased my sex drive. I am switching to a new birth control as soon as I can.

Ive been on this birth control.. ironically since Mother's day of 2014. At first i noticed that if i didnt take th epill with food id get really light headed or nausea i guess you can say. I did lkose my appetite for sex as well. As the months went on my body began to get used to it. There was a point where i felt like i was just so depressed and almost suicidal. But ive gottenthrough it and am still taking the pills daily. Overall, id say i love these. my body is regulated now i am able to figure out if anything is wrong. I recognize my symptoms alot more now when my period comes and am very happy with that. I no longer get nausea, and very little depression now.. which is 12/23/2014Read More Read Less

It's strange because it has a full week of placebo pills. However, it took about four days for my period to start, so I only had a three day period that was relatively light. Also, on this pill, I had no spotting in the middle of the month. Much better than the Minastrin I was on before.

If you feel you gaining weight back away from the table or learn to eat better and excersize. And that's my two cents!Read More Read Less

Currently finishing up my first pack of Previfem. I had some severe mood swings during mid month of he pill, I was fine one moment and was crying hysterically the next. Thank goodness that's over. I feel great aside from all that! Had some headaches at the beginning, but that went away too. I'm on Tuesday of the placebo pills, anxiously waiting for my period to start. For anyone else, what day of your placebo pills does your period tend to start? I'm getting antsy...

Effective as in preventing pregnancy. However, a few times has made me bleed the week before my period was even supposed to start. Also, I'm extremely emotional the week before my period on this pill. Before I was on birth control, I never PMS'd. The week before my period feels pretty much like I'm already on my period due to cramps.

I have no idea if I should switch birth control Previfem is good with getting rid of my painful periods and my acne has gone done a very good amount! But I always get angry or upset out of no where. I'll be fine and than 5 seconds later I'm getting pissed over the littlest things and I'll start crying. And not just normal crying, like sobbing. My mom thinks that I should switch birth controls but its getting rid of the horrible cramps, clearing up the acne & where everyone is saying they're getting bloating I have actually been losing a little bit of weight which I think is good. But the emotionalness is a tad bit ridiculous :( I don't know what to do. Read More Read Less

I have been on several birth controls because most of them cause mood swings so I have a hard time finding one that works. This birth control doesn't cause mood swings I am overall just in an agitated and irritable mood. I have also been doing personal training for 4 months now and haven't had a decrease in weight, I am always bloated, but I have lost inches. Also the main reason I am no longer taking this is that I have NO sex drive at all :(

Overall the effectiveness of the drug is good, being that it is effective at preventing pregnancy. However, since taking the drug I have noticed that my periods are a lot longer & a lot heavier & I HATE IT!!!! My normal menstrual cycle was a regular-light flow that lasted 3 days. Now my flow is so heavy & lasts 7+ days. I've also noticed mood swings while taking this medication so I will be seeking an alternative prescription or form of birth control.

I have had only minor issues with this medication and it was my fault. I've been on Previfem for 4 months now and the only changes I see areth ar my breasts have gotten bigger and my hips seem to have gotten wider. Those aren't negative by any means, just odd! I would definitely suggest taking it.

Been on prefivem for 6 months now. I never had taken birthcontrol so it was a shock to me. I was depressed for 2 weeks and had serious headaches but now my body is used to it! No more depression but I have gained 4 pounds- probably all water retention. But I do love this pill. It makes my periods a lot easier!

I had 9 cysts on one ovary, (the other was normal)The Dr prescribed this pill for this reason. I also had been struggling with acne for the past 2 yrs that had gotten pretty bad. I am just beginning my 3rd month. The cysts are all gone, my acne is much improved, also my breast has increased one whole cup size. The cons are a little moodiness, bloat, and a small weight gain (5 lbs). So I feel the pros outweigh the cons and would recommend giving this pill a try.

After taking Previfem for only one month, I spotted the entire week before I was supposed to get my period, and actually started bleeding heavily several days early, now I am currently on day 9 of my period and it is still heavy with no sign of stopping, and I'm not due to stop the placebos for another 2 days. I don't think I will be starting another month, though.

I've been on Previfem a little over a month now. Previfem has caused me to break out when I had very little issues with acne before starting it. It's caused me to gain weight and given me irregular periods and not to mention very tender in my chest. I will be switching.

I've been on Previfm for 5 months now. This is the first birth control that I've used. In the begining, I had a decreased sex drive, but that came back (thankfully) However, I did notice that my boobs got bigger and they are always tender. In the last two months I have had spotting the week before my period. Going to wait until the 6 month mark, and if still happens, I think I'll be switching.

I am an ftm transgender and I never tried birth control before. Got previfem and I didn't know what it's going to do with me. I was told that I may have to take it until I start up on testosterone. I had facial hair, ance, excess body hair, and I have a gruff/low voice since puberty not from testosterone injections except over the counter testosterone supplements or maybe estrogen converted into testosterone. I didn't know what my testosterone levels were as I have to go to an endo doctor to find out. I'm trying to lower my estrogen/progesterone. I had my periods since I was 9 in 4th grade and I've always hated painful periods that I had to stop it numerous times.Read More Read Less

Just finished my 1st month of Previfem. This is my first time taking birth control and after reading reviews about pretty much every brand I decided to trust my dr's opinion on Previfem (Ortho Cyclen 28 generic) and glad I did. Before I took birth control I would get hormonal occular migranes (migranes with auras/vision fades). The first week of taking this pill I had 4 of these occular migranes which I usually only get once a month, never even twice in one day. My breasts are ever so slightly sore and a tad swollen. Besides that my sex drive is completely the same and haven't had any other weird side effects since. I am happy and chipper as ever. I have a theory that the birth control will just over enhance any of your normal PMS symptoms or underlying on the first week of taking it or so, just due to my occular migrane incident, but everyone is different.Read More Read Less

I have currently been on previfem for over a year and it has worked wonderfully! I have had no problems at all and have not gained any weight. After around 3 months I noticed a drastic improvement in acne and even stopped using my prescription topical cream because the previfem has cleared my acne so wonderfully! My period has been very predictable while cramps are always at a minimum if I even get any.The entire time I have been on this I have no used any other backup methods and my period always comes right on time. I would recommend this to anyone!Read More Read Less
