I recently suffered an allergic reaction to Anbesol. My top lip swelled up to three times it's normal size. The reaction surprised me because I've used Orajel before but I guess there must be a different ingredient in Anbesol than Orajel. I suppose the medicine would have worked if I wasn't allergic to it.

Toothache is the worst mouth irritation. Waiting for an endodontist appointment from Friday until Monday is extremly painful. Without anbesol for some comfort, I would be much more unhappy. What it does, I don't know, but at least it's one tool in the tooth abcess arsenal.
