blocked pain very well following surgery(bilateral mastectomy). was left in 5 days post-op, I removed the lines myself easily. Stayed effective for another 5 days or so after removal. However, on the 3rd day post op I got hives surrounding surgical area. I treated with OTC meds and cream, was not severe enough to stop drug. My MD gave me an RX for it at my next appt. But, it would have been nice to know of the possibility of this side effect from the beginning. Overall, I would recommend the On Q pump with sensorcaine for post op pain, with Benadryl capsules and cream handy just in case.Read More Read Less
