I have Crohn's Disease (in my small intestine) and this is the only pain medication that I have found that I can use when it flares up. For me Dilaudid suppositories have been a life saver because before I would just end up in the ER because I would be in so much pain I would be up for 24 hours or more straight before I would finally break down and go to the ER. I have tried several different medications to ese the pain of my cancer treatment and none had worked until I tried dilaudid. Not for everyday aches and pains but if you are suffering from serious long lasting pain this works great. A few side effects but nothing over bering. Well worth the effort.
