Not saying I'd rather die than experiencing the excruciating discomfort this brought me, but wow, this was awful. My doctor forewarned me but it seems like understatement looking back at it. Already got in contact with my doctor about other options, and I guess there's an autoinjector available. Going to get it prescribed ASAP

Unfortunately my first time using this product I can neither comment on the effectiveness of this product or it’s side affects as the product was rendered “useless” upon opening. Maybe I have a higher pain tolerance than others. This drug is uncomfortable, but its speed and ease of use outweigh the discomfort. It does feel like a quick punch to the nose, but after about 30 seconds the discomfort subsides. I wouldn't call it pain, it's more like the sensation you get eating a bite of wasabi-covered sushi. Subsides quickly and works well. It's so small that I can put it in my pocket when going for a walk, simple to drop into my purse vs. a big glucagon kit that I'm too shaky to administer (and which my husband would probably never administer). All in all, I'm grateful for this med. Read More Read Less

The bullet of powder went immediately into my sinuses surrounding my eye. I felt my eye bulge from the intense blast. I had to call out work due to the pain, nausea and vertigo. At the time of writing this review I am 15 hours out and the discomfort persists.

I have never experienced pain like this medicine has caused me. T1 for 14 years and have never had to use glucagon until today. I would rather fall out than ever use this again. Instant burning pain to the nose and head that felt like what I can only assume acid feels like. BS did not even get above 120 until 2 hours later after also drinking juice and eating a brownie. 7 hours later and still have intense burning and stabbing headache on the entire right side of my head. I would not wish this medication on my worst enemy. Traumatizing. Read More Read Less

At 10 am I had to use Baqsimi. I have a glucagon pen, but the Baqsimi was closer. The ease of use is fine, it’s the pain that goes along with it. A burning pain instantly penetrated my temple, eye and nasal cavity as soon as I used it and it is now 4:30 and I’m still in pain. The nausea came about an hour after using the product. I’m miserable and I need to report that it took 34 minutes for my blood sugars to reach 62. This is not a product that I want to have to use again. I have a glucagon pen and want to continue to rely on this method.Read More Read Less

The product worked to bring up my blood sugar. However, the pain after using it is excruciating! My nose and eye feel like they are on fire. I had a left sided migraine before I used it. Now I have one on the right side. The burning in my nose is the worst I have ever experienced. The package insert says this is supposed to be a powdered form of glucagon. It felt like a shot of liquid going up my nose when I used it. I will never use this product again. I wish I had read the reviews before I used it. However, it’s hard to think of things like that when your blood sugar is extremely low (mid 40’s). There must be other options. I would prefer injections to this medication.Read More Read Less

Unfortunately my first time using this product I can neither comment on the effectiveness of this product or it’s side affects as the product was rendered “useless” upon opening. It was discovered that the bottom button with the green line was already compressed!!! This happened not once but TWICE with two ‘separate’ packages! As a result of this product not being properly intact, and it’s subsequent failure to produce the required nasal glucagon during a severe hypoglycaemic episode, the patient went into a life threatening diabetic seizure with vomiting. Very disappointed in this product. I have since reported this to the manufacturers of Baqsimi to further investigate WHY this happened and how to prevent future devastating results.Read More Read Less

It works. But worst experience I've ever had. It is the combination of shooting a spear gun full of pepper spray, bee stings, and kerosene into your brain, and then lighting it all on fire. This is not hyperbole. 8 hours later and eye is bloodshot, redness to the entire face, temple/ear/forehead all with a numbing pain of what i assume a migraine is like. Did it work - yes, should anyone conscious ever use this - hell no. Needle is far far less trauma. Unfortunately most reading this have already gone through this and why they found these reviews - its not only you Read More Read Less

Hopefully you’re not like me and took it before reading reviews. I do not get headaches ever. This one took me out. It felt like 1m needles poking my brain and instant water poured from my eye. Thought ok it’ll go away, took aleve, I’m not 3 hours in and head is still pounding behind my right eye (side I injected) and now moving to the back of my head. Nausea just started, feels like I’m about to get sick but I’m sipping water to try and keep it down. My face turned really red and my entire body felt hot. Do not try this. No other way to describe this than as the reviews have already labeled it a "pepper-spray". After using it my eyes and face were on fire and I ended up with a migraine so bad I vomited. There has to be a way for them to make this medication less harsh.

This is comparable to spraying pepper spray in your nose, it works but if your appeal is to comfort people who are afraid of needles, believe me, this is far worse than a needle. I talked to my doctor and I’m being prescribed the autoinjector just in case my kids ever need to use it on me. The pain was unbearable. I’d rather be pricked 10 times than take this stuff again. I felt awful hours afterwards with the biggest headache. Guess that’s what you probably should feel like on the brink of death.Read More Read Less

I was on a road trip home, middle of no where, when I realized I was going low I started freaking out. I then remembered my mom had given me one of these and I finally had the chance to see how well it works. It worked within seconds, but my nasal cavity and the right side of my nose and head were hurting to no end. I attempted to just sleep it off and well it didn’t work. I’m still sensitive to the cold like I was when I first took it over 12 hours ago. I honestly don’t recommend for the pain aspect, but as far as it working for my blood sugar it was phenomenal. Hands down the worst experience I have ever had with a drug. Started out as a violent punch in the face, culminating with 12 hours in the ER with vomiting, nausea and the worst headache I've ever had. Do not try this!
