I was given injections for an acute exacerbation of rheumatoid arthritis as part of my mixed connective tissue disease. It worked almost immediately. However the side effects were almost unbearable.
Agro, restlessness and wild mood swings. I would much rather have solu-medrol infusions which I tolerate much better. I also have MS which it helped.
