I’m on my ninth month of a nine month regimen. My PSA and testosterone levels are both zero. My side effects are mostly night sweats. In my opinion this is a miracle drug. I experienced 100 percent effectiveness with minimum negative side effects. Now that I’m at the end of my treatment, I look forward to the end of the side effects and return to normal testosterone levels.

On Orgovyx for 75 days. Only noticed side effects are infrequently, relatively mild hot flashes and maybe a little loss of energy. Workout and walk regularly and play golf with no noticable impact. Initial PSA of 11.54 and testosterone of 237. After 30 days taking Orgovyx was 1.42 and 19. After 60 days was 0.16 and 26. See doc after another 90 days. Start process for RT next week.

Age 79; Gleason score 8; PSA went from 17 to zero over one year. I have head the higher Glucose and hot and cold sweats and muscle pain that I attribute to this and also statins. My question is one that nobody has addressed and was not in the trial: intermittent dosing and for those who did a 6 or 8 month or longer 'course' of Orgovyx, what was the PSA say 3 months after stopping the pills? Did the side effects linger or diminish? Did libido return or free-testoserone levels at all? And importantly, IF the PSA levels went up again, did you resume treatment with Orgovyx and was it efective in any ensuing PSA tests. I think these are important questions for anyone involved with the approach (which I opted for in a quality-of-life approach). Thank you as you'll need to 'post' as conversations can't take place here as such. I appreciate it. Read More Read Less

I've been taking Orgovyx for 2+ months. The PSA was 3.3 when starting the regimen. Although the next recurring medical oncologist appointment is at the end of June, the doc recommended I get a PSA test sort of midpoint (2 plus months) to ensure it's working. I did so. PSA is now at 9.92. Yikes. What the heck? FYI: I am experiencing none of the side effects others have listed in their reviews here. Did someone sneak in a placebo on me? Confused.

This is the worst medicine I have ever taken. I've been on it for nearly six months to combat prostate cancer. It is a necessary evil to save my life but it has destroyed my quality of life. Super hot flashes all day and night; Frequent urination; Terrible severe rashes on my hands, legs and feet that do not go away (even when treated with a powerful steroid cream). If you have an alternative product - use it. You will be miserable all day and all night while on this drug.

I have been on this medication for just under 4 weeks. I have started having some severe joint and lower back pain. I am not sure if it's the pain listed in the side effects, but I have a very high pain tolerance, and this is bad pain. I have my first appointment since starting and will update on labs and doctor's input. I rated the effectiveness in the middle because I don't know yet. I will update accordingly.

Gleason 9, Age 83, Disabled Vet. DIABETIC-2. NO side effects after 4 days usage. On ADT pills one month also. SEE Radiation Oncologist on Monday for possible R T. Startup! Like to have PSMA PET Scan for more accurate base line that the MRI provided! Optimistic at this point. USAF Vet, Texas.

The medication was used along with a series of radiation treatments for advanced risk prostate cancer. What it added to the effectiveness of the radiation alone is unclear. The side effects however after stopping the medication for over four weeks remain problematic and include daily intermittent hot flushes, accompanying agitated restlessness and even some occasional light headedness.

Orgovyx is extremely effective at reducing PSA to undetectable. I started Orgovyx several months after a radical prostatectomy as PSA levels increased from undetectable after the surgery to doubling every six weeks thereafter (metastatic prostate cancer spread to two adjacent lymph nodes in the pelvis). I also had two months of daily radiation therapy in the pelvic region. The PSA levels dropped immediately and consistently to undetectable (<.015). I've now been on it for 15 months with a year to go. However, I've experienced most of the listed side effects: hot flashes, fatigue, sharp increase in blood glucose (now on the edge of diabetes mellitus), osteopenia, muscle atrophy, dramatic weight gain, zero libido, decreased hemoglobin, increased liver enzymes, and a sharp increase in triglycerides. Controlling the diabetes is my biggest concern now (besides the lurking cancer in the background). I have recently dramatically increased daily exercise, but too early to determine if it is helping the tamp down the diabetes. The drug is completely effective, but in my case the side-effects serious, i.e. diabetes mellitus.Read More Read Less

Presently in month 5 of the 6 month protocol. Only negative was the reported hot flashes lasting up to five minutes several times a day which overall was easily tolerated. Began taking orgovyx mid-way through RT of the pelvic floor. Most recent psa on an ultra-sensitive test was <.014 (considered as zero) Time will tell whether hormonal therapy and RT will prevail over the prostate cancer.

I took a six month course of Orgovyx before, during and after salvage radiation therapy. Testosterone dropped to near zero and PSA was at undetectable level after 30 days. I took Orgovyx in evening with dinner. Only noticeable side effect was occasional hot flushes. No issues with fatigue or weight gain as is often reported for Lupron. PSA remained at undetectable level after completing six month course. Will get another PSA test 3 months after completing Orgovyx. Prefer flexibility of oral treatment to 3 or 6 month Lupron shot.Read More Read Less

The day I began taking Orgovyx my PSA was 24.9 and my testosterone was slightly over 300. I was checked four weeks later and my PSA was 1.6 with testosterone at 3. Minimal side effects. I will be tested again in one month.
