It’s very easy to use, yes sometimes it stings when first Applied but goes away less then 30 seconds but once in your ear it’s helping you out! I have a REALLY BAD EAR INFECTION with earache to the max, I read the reviews and threw it away but then I got desperate in the middle of the night and omg it feels sooooo damn good! the pain went away in 10-15 minutes, it numb my ear and i stopped crying ...

has been an ineffective treatment for me. Infection recurs. Roof of mouth now swells with 4th treatment in 8 months.

My ear infection began on a Friday and got worse over long weekend. I tried homeopathic medicine to relieve my pain but nothing worked. By Tuesday of next week I was in a lot of pain and taking Naproxen to alleviate my pain and swelling of my outer ear, jaw & face. Now I have been using the Cortisporin as directed and I am on the 4th day. This dual antibiotic drops are easy to use and have been a God send. The drops truly work! The drops do irritate my ear slightly and it does help to use a tiny piece of cotton to hold the medication in after putting the drops in and waiting 5 mins, I hope my ear infection does not return after the 7 day use my doc recommended. It is a pain having to wake up in middle of night to use the drops but it has paid off in killing the bacteria causing all my pain.Read More Read Less

I had a swollen ear canal with slightly diminished hearing, it wasn’t very severe. After using this product, twice in 24 hours, I have slight dizziness, loss of hearing and a muffled noise in my ear. The swelling did go down, this is an antibiotic after all, but at the cost of my hearing. Using oil, cotton swabs dipped in rubbing alcohol, and even the warm water wash had gotten some medicine residue out of my ear, but not all of it. I’m going to an ENT to have my ear cleaned. This product should not be prescribed. Read More Read Less

I'm glad I came to this site to read the reviews, because my doctor prescribed that to me and the only thing that stoped me from buying it was $70 price. Now after reading all these reviews, I understand what could happen to me if I would purchase this drops. Thank you Soo much for the warning, very good website. I am sorry that you guys went through bad experience with this drops.

The dropper method is archaic. All of my other drops just squeeze out. Three times I have turned the bottle over to drop in my ear and spilled it all over my face. Why the dropper???

In September 2021 I had a lot of itching and burning in my right outer ear canal. It felt like a zit in my ear canal. My ear canal began to inflame and wasn't improving, so I went to urgent care. The PA looked in my ear and said my "eardrum looked inflamed." She prescribed these otic antibiotic/steroid drops. They instantly caused more itching and burning in my ear, and I noticed that it was drying up in my ear. I now had tinnitus and a feeling of pressure and muffled hearing. My ear canal began to swell up. After FOUR days of this I did some research and found a lot of reviews on another site where people had increased pain and itching, and loss of hearing and tinnitus. Something most reviews have in common is that people found out their blocked hearing and itching and pain was being caused by this medication drying up on their eardrum and forming a cast. The cast keeps the eardrum from vibrating, which decreases hearing and caused a muffled or blocked sound in the ear. This stuff dries on your eardrum and stays there until it is removed. When I read those reviews I stopped using this product and began cleaning my ear with peroxide, which is actually what began to reduce the horrible symptoms caused by this med. I pulled quite a bit of dried up ear drop residue out of my ear canal by using the peroxide. However, it has remained stuck to my ear drum and I continue to have pain and burning on and around my ear drum, as well as muffled hearing, and a crackling sound around my ear drum when I press on my ear. I will now have to spend money to see an ENT to have him removed this junk from my ear drum. This stuff should be removed from the market, and possibly needs a class-action suit filed against it. This stuff is hurting a lot of people. Beware and don't use these drops. It did not decrease the healing time of my ear canal inflammation and only made my ear worse. My ear was normal and so was my hearing before using this stuff for four days.Read More Read Less

Terrible packaging for an adult living alone. No way to see how many drops I'm putting in. A regular screw on lid with a bulb dropper would be much better.

After reading the reviews I have to say that these drops made my slight case of swimmers ear into a nightmare. My ear has swollen up completely, constantly ringing, I can't even chew my food because my face hurts so bad. Went to urgent care tonight after being advised by my dr. They told me to keeping using the drops. I'm even running a 102 fever now and can't hear anything at all. Will never take this again and I'm calling my dr in the morning!!

Applied to middle ear three times daily for ten days, along with standard 5-day run of antibiotic pills (Z-Pack). Ear pain has gone from 7/10 to 4/10, but now the pain is dull and throbbing, sometimes jolting, and has extended down Eustachian tube to tonsil area, and up to temples and area behind the ear. Hearing impairment still 7/10 of normal. I don't think this is a good result of ten days strict antibiotic regimen. Doctor did not notice perforated eardrum. I have cleaned out effected ear with rubbing alcohol/vinegar mixture before each application of Cortisporin because the medicine dries up and becomes granular a few hours after application. I would not take this medicine again.Read More Read Less

The doctor gave me this for a perforated ear drum. There was no infection. He said it would prevent infection. After ten days of use, I woke up with ear ringing, dizziness and decreased hearing. I looked the drug up. It is ototoxic. There is a big red warning--do not use with a perforated ear drum. 18 months later, I still have a loud annoying ringing in my ear and I can no longer understand speech with this ear. Will probably need a hearing aid. Had perfect hearing before.

Taken in left ear, found discomfort and pain increased, instead of the original sharp pain, felt more like a migraine on the left side of face. Discontinued temporarily to try and see if it was the drops or something else. Once discomfort eased up, went back to drops and pain on left side returned. Hearing in ear echoed.

Today is 1/29/2013 and I have used this medication since 1/24/2013. It has not been that effective. Urgent care prescribed it due to ear pain and tinnitus. My tinnitus is still there. I still have some ear pain. I won't use it anymore because I have only read negative reviews and even the paperwork says it can cause hearing loss. So I'm done with this medicine. These online reviews have scared the devil out of me.

I'm having serious side effects--burning, itching--ears are so very sore, kept me up for several nights. Rash from ears to neck. Stopped using the drops after 4 1/2 days & 5 days later still haven't got rid of the problems. Never using it again.
