This medicine has been minimally effective for treating my sinus issues. The real problem is the side effects. For the first few hours after I take it I am tired, disengaged, and find it hard to concentrate. After a few hours my heart will begin to race, and my blood pressure will go up. I end up being edgy and difficult to be around. For me the side affects outweigh the benefits of taking this medicine

As far as the use of this medication for severe sinus, I found it to be highly effective. I have acute sinusitis. However, taking 2 tablets in one day, then drinking coffee the next morning, my heart rate jumped up to 157! I had to go to the ER and have my heart stopped and restarted!! I'm a very healthy person other than allergies. So now, I'm back to the drawing board and now am recovering from this episode.

My doctor prescribed this medication & i take it when I feel a cold coming on or when my sinuses start acting up & it works wonders

My Dr. was very clear about the use of this medication. I only use it when the sinus pain is close to intolerable. I clears that up, but it does make me groggy and generally depressed. However, I only take 12 tablet and the swelling and resulting pain in my sinuses disappear - as well as the drainage. I have tried taking it at night, but I am in a bad mood the next day.

I took this medicine because I had a bad cold. At first I felt really really stoned and calm, then about 5 hours later I felt like I was on cocaine or speed. I cleaned my entire room and moved my entire HUGE bed (im a pretty small person compared to it) to the other side of my large room and then did homework for 2 hours. It didn't make me irritable, I actually think I was in a good mood while on it. I can't really remember if it helped me feel better, all I really remember is feeling crazy and my heart beating really fast. My heart races and has made me on edge to the world. My mood has changed from happy go lucky to a bitter rage machine. Of course the pharmacy did not warn me about the side effects until I went back and asked today. She said that they should have told me but oops!!! Now I have to wait at least 72 hours to get this drug out of my system. I cannot eat or sleep really makes you feel like you are on SPEED!!!

It will keep a person awake. If you work the day shift I advice not to take.
