Eric Giza, MD, is an assistant professor and chief of the foot and ankle service in the department of orthopaedics at the University of California-Davis School of Medicine in Sacramento, Calif.
Giza did his undergraduate work at Haverford College in Philadelphia and received his MD from Philadelphia’s Temple University. Following his residency at Harvard University in Boston, he completed a foot and ankle surgical fellowship at the Foot and Ankle Clinic in Sydney, Australia, and a sports medicine fellowship at the Santa Monica Orthopaedic Group.
A former collegiate soccer player, Giza maintains his interest in sports by caring for athletes on both professional and amateur soccer teams. He plays an active role on the Major League Soccer medical staff and serves as an assistant team physician for the U.S. Soccer Federation.
Giza is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
