How does Cymbalta affect your fetus if you take it for fibromyalgia?

ANSWER

Cymbalta (duloxetine) is a type of antidepressant that also can help treat fibromyalgia.

We don’t have enough studies to know how the drug may affect unborn babies in mothers who take them during their pregnancy, or breastfeeding infants. If you’re pregnant, breastfeedomg. or planning to get pregnant, talk to your doctor if the benefits of Cymbalta outweigh the potential harm.
