What are the causes of tender points in fibromyalgia?

ANSWER

Doctors don’t know what causes tender points, spots where your body is extra sensitive to pressure and pain. The location of the tender spots are not random. They happen in predictable places on the body. That means many people with fibromyalgia have similar symptoms with their tender points.
