What are the risks of using Cymbalta and other antidepressants for treating fibromyalgia?

ANSWER

Cymbalta (duloxetine) is an antidepressant that can treat fibromyalgia. Cymbalta and similar drugs can make you more likely to think of killing yourself if you’re under age 24. If your doctor prescribes Cymbalta, they’ll monitor you closely for any suicidal thoughts or behaviors and new or worsening signs of depression.
