A number of things can make fibromyalgia symptoms worse. They include:

  • Anxiety
  • Changes in weather -- for example, cold or humidity
  • Depression
  • Fatigue
  • Hormonal changes, such as PMS
  • Infections
  • Lack of sleep or restless sleep
  • Emotional stress
  • Physical exhaustion
  • Not moving around enough
