Do you need to see a doctor to remove a foreign object from your rectum?

ANSWER

As a general rule, most people who have a foreign object in their rectum that cannot be seen or felt outside the anus need to seek medical attention. It's best not to try to remove it yourself.

Most laxatives work too slowly to be effective. The sooner you seek medical help, the better.
