Obi Obadike: I’m here to talk to you about the truths and myths about obtaining washboard abs.
There’s this illusion and this myth that all of a sudden you just do sit-ups and crunches and you get the abs that you desire. I’m here to tell you that’s false.
Nutrition is so important in obtaining abs. For a guy to literally have washboard abs, your body fat has to be between 10 to 12 percent or under.
For a female, your body fat has to be 14 to 16 under. To be able to get low body fat levels, you have to eat right.
You have to be on a rigorous cardio workout. You have to be on a rigorous weight training workout. It’s everything collective together, OK?
Your abs are not made in the gym, they’re made in the kitchen, OK? With great nutrition. 80% of the battle of obtaining washboard abs, if you’re a guy or a girl, is nutrition.
Make sure you’re eating right and you’re doing your cardio on a consistent basis to burn the fat. There’s no such thing as spot reduction.
Spot reduction means doing sit-ups and crunches and all of a sudden the fat’s just going to go away. It’s not going to happen. It will not happen.
You’re just going to be building muscle underneath the fat. I hope you understand that tip on obtaining great abs.
