SPEAKER
Juicing fruits and vegetables is healthy as long as you know the do's and don'ts.

Do wash produce before you use it. This scrubs the germs away. Don't juice more fruit than vegetables. Both are healthy and both lower your odds of getting cancer, but veggies have fewer calories and carbs.

Do use the fiber-filled pulp your juicer separates out. It's too healthy to toss. If you don't want to drink it, you can add it to soup, sauce, or other meals. Don't overlook your blender. Unlike a juicer, it won't remove the fiber that keeps you full. Just add water, if the juice is too thick.

Do drink fresh juice right away. It loses cancer-fighting antioxidants the longer it sits out. Refrigerate it up to 24 hours, or freeze it if you can't start sipping ASAP.

Finally, don't forget to eat whole produce. It's healthier than juicing, but both ways can help you get the 2 and 1/2 cups of fruit and veggies you need each day.
