It's no secret that a lot of breakfast cereals' tasty little morsels are loaded with sugar, and not much else…hardly enough to keep your kids going 'til lunchtime.

Looking for a healthier choice to start the day? Try oatmeal. Sure, a bowl of plain oats can be a hard sell to a kid, but you can add plenty of yummy healthy stuff to make it a breakfast they will love.

Add some flavored yogurt, raisins, blueberries, nuts, or even peanut butter. You can even have an egg, breakfast sausage or some cheese on the side to bulk up the meal.

A good mix of fiber, protein, and carbs will fuel your kids a lot longer than a bowl of sugary cereal.

For speedy mornings, make overnight oats - soak them in water, and leave them in the fridge while you sleep - no cooking necessary!

Whether kids eat them cold or heat them up, this bowl packs tons of fiber, calcium, and potassium. Enough fuel for the busy day ahead!
