Gallia Coles is a busy stay-at-home mother of three. She and her husband Mike are the proud parents of 5-and-a-half year-old fraternal twins Michael and McKinnley and 2-and-a-half year-old Wesley.

Gallia, a native of Baltimore, graduated from Radford University with a degree in media studies. She pursued a career with an advertising agency in Atlanta and quickly fell in the love with the city. She and Mike met in Atlanta have been happily married and rooted there since 2003.

Family has always been the most important thing to Gallia. Coming from a large, close family, she always dreamed of having one of her own. She and Mike got their wish when they learned they were expecting twins in early 2004. Her pregnancy with twins started off as an exciting experience for the both of them.  Things changed suddenly however when Gallia went into preterm labor at just 24 weeks and was admitted to the high-risk pregnancy ward on bed rest. She remained there until her children were born at 29 weeks via emergency C-section. Struggling to survive, her twins spent two months in the NICU before they were healthy enough to come home. A day she and Mike will never forget. Raising premature twins was no easy task.  Caring for the infants required so much strength, dedication and meticulous organization that is was truly a life-changing experience for Gallia and Mike. Their “miracle babies,” as they often refer to them, are happy, healthy, thriving five year olds.

In January 2008 she and Mike welcomed their third child, Wesley Marshal Coles, to the family. While he too was born a few weeks early, he was perfectly healthy and able to go home with the family right away.  Gallia and Mike feel so blessed and fortunate to have three wonderful children.

“Becoming a Mother and raising children is the greatest experience I have ever known. It tests my strength in ways I had never expected and has opened my heart to depths I have never imagined. It is such a constant learning experience about yourself, your children, and about life. It is not always easy, as any stay-at-home mom can tell you, but I am surrounded by three little works of art every day. There is never a dull moment in our house, that is for sure! Motherhood is by far the most rewarding job I will ever have.” -- Gallia Coles
