Gary Small, MD

A member of the faculty at the University of California at Los Angeles, where he is the Parlow-Solomon professor on aging, a professor of psychiatry and biobehavioral sciences, and director of the UCLA Center on Aging, Gary Small, MD, is involved in research focusing on early detection and prevention of age-related memory loss and Alzheimer’s disease and diagnosis and treatment of late-life depression. Small has authored more than 160 scientific articles, books, and book chapters and has been listed in Best Doctors in America since the volume’s inception in 1993. His work has been featured in numerous lay publications, including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post, Time, and the International Herald Tribune.
