Gillian Wansbrough

As Senior Editor at WebMD Canada, Gillian assists the Managing Editor in supervising editorial operations and setting the daily news agenda. She helps select, assign, and edit news for WebMD Canada in conjunction with other staff journalists.

Gillian began her career in 1991 as communications coordinator for a Canadian forest products company. In 1994, she moved to the College of Nurses of Ontario, where she wrote and edited a quarterly newsmagazine for the 150,000 members of the College, in addition to producing a weekly staff newsletter and serving as webmaster for the College's Web site.

In 1996, Gillian joined The Medical Post, a weekly tabloid newspaper for Canadian physicians. In her capacity as special projects editor, Gillian supervised the production of a weekly clinical supplement for family doctors as well as producing the publication's 1999 national survey magazine. Gillian also served as a senior staff writer, providing first-hand coverage of clinical meetings throughout North America.

Gillian received her Bachelor of Applied Arts in journalism from the Ryerson School of Journalism in Toronto in 1992.
