Gina Harney is a certified personal trainer, weight loss specialist, group fitness instructor, and RYT (200-hr) yoga instructor. She’s the founder of the popular healthy lifestyle site, The Fitnessista. She’s been featured in publications including Greatist, Forbes, Buzzfeed, Shape, Fitness Magazine, and Well + Good.
Harney is the voice behind the Healthy In Real Life podcast and is the author of the best-selling book about high-intensity interval training, HIIT It! (Demos Health, 2015.)
Harney first became interested in health and fitness during her freshman year of college. She lost 40 pounds after embarking on a total lifestyle change and has managed to keep it off since then (minus birthing two babies). As a dancer, she instantly fell in love with group fitness and became certified to teach. Since then, she’s instructed Spin, Zumba, BODYPUMP, barre, yoga, and boot camp classes.
Harney is especially passionate about helping postpartum mamas regain their fitness and strength in a safe and effective way. She created the Post Baby Bod 12-week fitness plan and also developed Fit Guides based on personal goals and workout preferences.
