Why do I need a second opinion from another doctor?
ANSWER
Asking another doctor to review your case can be useful for many reasons:
But sometimes you may not have time to get a second opinion if you have a severe injury or health crisis.
- Doctors have different styles. Some may be more likely to suggest surgery or other major treatments. Others may suggest a slower, wait-and-see approach.
- A second opinion can help you make better-informed decisions about your care and treatments. Or another doctor’s opinion might shed more light on your diagnosis.
