Breast and cervical cancer prevention and treatment program (BCCPT)

BCCPTs are run by the states and funded through Medicaid. These programs provide cancer treatment to women who found out they had breast or cervical cancer through their state's screening programs. Women who qualify may receive free health care throughout the course of their precancerous or cancer treatment, including care not related to their cancer.

To get this care, you have to meet the requirements in your state. Common requirements include:

  • Being younger than age 65
  • Meeting certain income requirements
  • Not having health insurance or being underinsured
