Qualified Disabled & Working Individual Program (QDWI)

This program is a type of Medicare savings plan. It helps Medicare members pay Part A premiums.

You may be able to get this type of financial help if you:

  • Are a working disabled person under age 65
  • No longer get premium-free Medicare Part A because you went back to work
  • Do not get medical assistance from your state
  • Meet your state income and assets limits. The income requirements can be found on the Medicare website.

To find out if you qualify for the QDWI program, contact your state Medicaid office.
