How can digoxin be used to treat heart failure?

ANSWER

Digoxin, sold under the brand name Lanoxin, may improve heart pumping function and control certain heart rhythm problems. Digoxin is an older medication and isn't used as much. But it may still be a good add-on for patients whose symptoms don't improve with diuretics and ACE inhibitors.
