How can fiber help with treating heart disease?

ANSWER

A number of studies have found that getting a lot of fiber, from foods or supplements, lowers the risk of heart disease.

It’s best to get fiber from food, but fiber supplements, such as psyllium and methylcellulose, can also help you get the amount you need.

If you want to start eating more fiber, do it gradually to prevent gas and cramping. It’s also important to also to drink more fluids at the same time.
