How should I prepare for electrophysiology (EP) study?

ANSWER

Your doctor may ask you to stop certain medications a few days beforehand. If you have diabetes, ask your doctor how you should adjust your medications.

Don’t eat or drink anything after midnight the evening before. If you must take medications, have them only with a small sip of water.

Wear comfortable clothes to the hospital, and leave all jewelry and other valuables at home.

Bring someone with you to drive you home.
