What blood pressure reading means you have hypertension?

ANSWER

A blood pressure of 130/80 or higher is considered high. This is called hypertension or high blood pressure. A blood pressure between 120 and 129 and less than 80 is considered elevated. This means that you do not have hypertension, but you need to make lifestyle changes (such as diet, exercise, and stress management) now to stop it from becoming high blood pressure.
