Hepatitis C Directory
Hepatitis C is inflammation of the liver due to the hepatitis C virus (HCV). Hepatitis C is an infectious disease. You can catch Hepatitis C if you have unprotected sex with someone who has the disease, or if you come into contact with blood from, or needles used by, an infected person. Getting a tatoo with contaminated tools also makes you more likely to develop hepatitis C. Most people who are infected with the HCV virus develop a long-term (chronic) form of hepatitis C, which can lead to liver damage. Follow the links below to find WebMD's comprehensive coverage about how hepatitis C is contracted, what the symptoms are, how to treat it, and much more.
