They are based on where in the digestive tract they are. There can be overlap between them, and some people have more than one area affected. The five types are:

  • ileocolitis
  • ileitis
  • gastroduodenal Crohn's disease
  • jejunoileitis
  • Crohn's (granulomatous) colitis
