How can alcohol cause infertility?

ANSWER

When a woman drinks, it can pose great harm to her unborn baby. And long-term alcoholism can lead to problems with ovulation, which can lower her chances of getting pregnant. Alcohol use by men may affect their sperm concentration. Alcoholism may delay a man's sexual response make it hard for him to get and keep an erection, a condition called impotence.
