Lupus takes a toll on an individual's life quite heavily in most cases. The burden this condition has on your life can be distressing on most days. 65% of people with lupus regard chronic pain as the most challenging part of living with this condition. 

76% of people with lupus say they have to cut back on their social activities due to the fatigue that comes with lupus. 89% of the people are unable to work full-time due to the complications that arise due to lupus. 

You can do a few things to build your daily life around lupus, though, in a way that makes it easier to cope: 

  • Get at least seven hours of restful sleep every day. 
  • Take recovery breaks during the day. 
  • Make changes to your daily routine, depending on how you feel that day. 
  • Don't hesitate to ask for help. 
  • If you need to cancel plans, try not to sweat it. 
  • Try to focus on just one task at once to deal with the feelings of memory loss and confusion.
