What are medical treatments for orchitis?

ANSWER

Most cases of orchitis -- and epididymo-orchitis -- are treated with antibiotics for a minimum of 10 days.

Mumps orchitis will clear up in 1 to 3 weeks.

Young, sexually active men need to make sure all their sexual partners are treated. You should use condoms or not have sex until all partners have taken antibiotics and are symptom-free.
