What are the lasting effects of orchitis?

ANSWER

For some of the men, the affected testicle will shrink and stop working the way it should. The later you start treatment, the more likely the testicle will have long-term damage. Untreated orchitis can result in infertility, loss of one or both testicles, and severe illness.
