How do you diagnose pericoronitis?

ANSWER

Your dentist will examine your wisdom teeth to see how they are coming in. They may take an X-ray every so often to check alignment of the wisdom teeth. They'll also look for symptoms such as swelling or infection, and for a gum flap around a wisdom tooth.
