What are the advantages of dental veneers?

ANSWER

Veneers are thin shells that are bonded to the surface of your tooth to make it look better. They can be an alternative to crowns. Veneers can be made of porcelain or a resin composite material. Advantages with veneers include:

  • Natural appearance
  • Gum tissue tolerates porcelain veneers well
  • Porcelain veneers resist stains and can be whiter than your natural teeth color
  • Veneers don’t require as much reshaping of your real teeth as crowns do
