There's no really proper or improper way to do it.
You just put it in your mouth and swish it around.
And it will get to places that your brush has missed.
There are mouthwashes that have fluoride in it.
There's ones that are antiseptic that kill bacteria.
Ones that have extra fluoride in it
will be additional help, too, to regular brushing and flossing.
