You don't have to make big changes to your diet, when you're diagnosed with osteoarthritis, but some little things can help a lot.

Whole fruits and vegetables are full of antioxidants, which can help you prevent, delay, or even repair, tissue damage. Look for products with a darker or more brilliant color, like cherries, berries, beets, avocados, and spinach.

Replace butter or other cooking oils with olive oil. It has a compound called oleocanthal that acts like a pain reliever. Two to three tablespoons a day can help you manage your aches.

Adding omega three fatty acids will help with joint swelling and pain. Salmon, tuna and mackerel are good sources of omega threes, which are also good for your heart.

Citrus fruits, broccoli, and peppers are all rich in vitamin C and can help slow inflammation, and keep your joints healthier.

Cut calories by eating fewer sugary or fried foods, to help lose extra pounds. Your joints will work better without the un-needed weight.

It's all about stocking your kitchen with foods that will help you fight osteoarthritis naturally.
