Pilates Caution for Backs

If you have a back injury, check with your doctor/medical professional before starting Pilates. Then make sure to tell your instructor about your back.

*  Limit moves that require you to bend too far forward or backward, especially if they cause pain.

* Avoid twisting the spine while bending forward.

* Avoid exercising to fatigue when sick or highly stressed.

* If an exercise causes pain, stop and tell the instructor.
