What are the symptoms of spina bifida occulta?

ANSWER

Spina bifida occulta is the most common and mildest form of spina bifida, which is a birth defect. Many people who have this type don't even know they have it. The spinal cord and nerves are usually fine, but there might be a small gap in the spine.

The most obvious sign of this condition might be a tuft of hair or a birthmark at the site of the defect.
