What are ways to resolve the conflicts when sibling fighting escalates?

ANSWER

Here are ways to resolve a fight that’s gotten to the point where you can’t stay out of it:

  • Separate: Let your kids cool down in their rooms.
  • Don't play favorites: Even if one of your kids constantly gets into trouble and the other is an angel, taking sides will only make them resent each other more.
  • Don't make everything equal: Treat each child as unique and special.
  • Give each child separate attention: To let your kids know that you value each of them, make one-on-one time.
