Peter W. Pappas, PhD, is a professor of evolution, ecology, and organismal biology at Ohio State University and curator of the Internet's largest archive of images of parasites. An active participant in worldwide discussions about parasitology, Pappas has written extensively about the biochemistry and physiology of parasites, as well as the behavioral bases of host-parasite relationships.
