What is retropubic prostatectomy for early-stage prostate cancer?

ANSWER

This is the most common type of prostate surgery. A surgeon removes the prostate through a cut on your lower belly. When prostate cancer is caught early, usually at stage I or II, removing the prostate can often cure the disease.
