Richard Gallagher, PhD, is a clinical psychologist and director of the Parenting Institute at the New York University (NYU) Child Study Center. He is also an assistant professor of clinical psychiatry at the NYU School of Medicine.
Gallagher was selected by Children Now to serve as the national spokesperson for Talking with Kids, a national initiative to encourage parents to talk with their children earlier and more often about tough issues like sex, violence, and alcohol and drug abuse.
