Saundra Young is an award-winning writer and producer with an extensive background in local and network television. She spent 15 years in CNN’s Medical Unit working on documentaries and special projects with Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta.
She specializes in health news and in addition to writing for WebMD, has written articles for the City of Hope National Medical Center, and writes and produces pieces for television news. She has a passion for telling stories that impact people’s lives.
Young is the recipient of numerous honors and awards including the prestigious Alfred I. dupont-Columbia Award, Peabody Award, Telly Award, Hillman Prize and Capital Region Emmy Awards. She is based in Washington, D.C.
