How can you recover from psychotic disorders?

ANSWER

Some people with psychotic disorders get better quickly with treatment. Others may wait months before their symptoms ease. Some people may need treatment for a long time. Those who’ve had several severe episodes of illness may need to stay on medication for life. If so, the drugs are usually given in the lowest dose possible to minimize side effects.
