How does the NuvaRing work?

ANSWER

The NuvaRing contains the same hormones as many birth control pills. A woman inserts it into her vagina, where it stays for 3 weeks, releasing a steady, low dose of hormones.

The woman removes the ring for 1 week when she'll have her period.
