How is herpes treated?

ANSWER

Although there is no cure for herpes, treatments can relieve the symptoms. Medications can decrease the pain from an outbreak and can shorten healing time. They can also lower the total number of outbreaks. Warm baths and numbing cream may relieve the pain from genital sores.
